These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LIWAGCares, the online guidance and counseling portal of Juan R. Liwag Memorial High School ("the School"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By registering for or using LIWAGCares, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the System.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS
LIWAGCares is intended for currently enrolled students, teachers, guidance personnel, and administrators of Juan R. Liwag Memorial High School. You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE
LIWAGCares is a scheduling and communication tool for non-emergency guidance and counseling support. It is not monitored 24/7 and must not be used to report an emergency or a situation involving immediate risk to life, health, or safety. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact school authorities, your parent or guardian, local emergency services, or the nearest hospital right away.
4. ACCEPTABLE USE
When using the System, you agree not to: provide false or misleading information; impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with the School; use the System to harass, threaten, or harm another user; attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization; or use the System for any purpose other than its intended guidance and counseling function.
5. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
The information you submit, including your Individual Inventory Form and appointment details, is used by the guidance office to support you. You agree to provide accurate and updated information and understand that inaccurate information may affect the support you receive.
6. APPOINTMENTS AND COMMUNICATION
Appointments booked through the System are subject to confirmation and availability of the guidance counselor. The School reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments when necessary and will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes. Messages sent through the System's chat feature are intended for guidance-related communication only.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The LIWAGCares name, design, and content are the property of Juan R. Liwag Memorial High School, except for content you submit yourself. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the System without permission.
8. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
The School may suspend or terminate your access to the System if you violate these Terms, misuse the System, or upon your graduation, transfer, or separation from the School. You may also request the deactivation of your account at any time by contacting the guidance office.
9. AVAILABILITY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We strive to keep the System available and functioning properly but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The School is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the System, except as required by law.
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the System after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

Privacy Policy
LIWAGCares ("the System") is the online guidance and counseling portal of Juan R. Liwag Memorial High School ("the School"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is protected, and the rights you have over it, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
1. WHO THIS POLICY COVERS
This policy applies to all students, teachers, guidance personnel, and administrators who create an account or otherwise use the System.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect the information you provide when you register and use the System, including: your name, Learner Reference Number (LRN), contact details, and academic information (grade level, track, strand); your Individual Inventory Form details, such as family background, guardian and sibling information, educational history, and health data; appointment requests, counseling session notes, and messages exchanged with the guidance office; and profile photos you choose to upload.
3. WHY WE COLLECT IT
Your information is collected and used solely to: schedule and manage guidance appointments; help the guidance counselor understand your background and provide appropriate counseling, referrals, and support; allow authorized school personnel to follow up on your welfare when needed; and maintain accurate records as required for school administration.
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
We process your information based on your consent, given when you create an account and agree to this Privacy Policy, and, where applicable, because processing is necessary to comply with the School's legal and regulatory obligations to its students.
5. WHO CAN SEE YOUR INFORMATION
Your information is only accessible to: the guidance counselor(s) assigned to your case; your class adviser or other school personnel, but only when directly relevant to supporting you; and system administrators, for account and technical support only. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any party outside the School, except when required by law, to protect your safety or the safety of others, or with your explicit consent.
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
Your information is retained for as long as you are enrolled at the School and for a reasonable period afterward, as required for school records and reporting. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data, subject to the School's record-keeping obligations.
7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We apply reasonable organizational, physical, and technical safeguards to protect your information, including password-protected accounts, role-based access controls, and encrypted password storage. While we take these precautions seriously, no system is completely immune to risk, and we encourage you to keep your login credentials confidential.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to: be informed that your personal information will be processed; access your personal information on file; request the correction of inaccurate or outdated information; object to or withdraw consent for processing, subject to legal and academic requirements; request the deletion or blocking of your information under certain conditions; be informed of any breach involving your personal information; and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your rights have been violated.
9. MINORS
Many of our students are minors. Parents or legal guardians may coordinate with the guidance office regarding a student's account and data, consistent with the School's existing policies on student welfare and parental involvement.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the System. Continued use of the System after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
